We finally took out Iran's nuclear sites.  Now, the media and congress are up in arms claiming that Trump's actions are unconstitutional.  But are they?  The short answer, no.  Beyond that, it was the right thing to do anyway.

The sale of federal public lands has been blowing up in the media and social media.  All the posts refer to a map that supposedly showing where those lands are at.  No one is asking who made the map and if it is at all accurate.  Spoiler, it's not and it was made by some very shady people--one of whom is a radical Democrat in Wyoming.

Rep Hageman called in to Open Line Friday today to talk about the land sale in the Big Beautiful Bill.  In short, the land sale is strictly targeted and isn't going to result in your favorite fishing hole being sold.

During the 2025 Legislative Session, Senate Leadership violated Wyoming ethics laws by allowing political operatives to use legislative offices for their political activities.  Statute 9-13-105 clearly prohibits the use of state facilities for any political purposes.

Some alleged conservatives used to be in favor of ethics laws.  Evidently though, when you gain power, those same laws don't mean as much.  On Monday's installment of the program, I'll show you the evidence of those laws being ignored.

You pay over $3,000,000.00 worth of memberships in associations for you elected officials.  Many of them lobby against your interests.  The Wyoming Education Association can't tell you what is porn and what is not.  And, an update from Saturday's installment of the program.

Most county officials have never had to cut their budgets.  Recent proposed spending levels are over and above what they were last year despite the passage of SF69.  A perfect example is in Sheridan where county officials proposed cutting spending by .11%.  It's moving the deck chairs on the Titanic.

Questions still remain about SF40 and how a bill that is so clearly a property rights issue was killed in the Wyoming Senate.  Audio obtained by Cowboy State Politics might shed some light on it.

Tuesday, Sheridan County School District #2 held a forum to talk about HB 172, the repeal of gun free zones.  What I found was a group of teachers who are grossly misinformed about firearms and the facts.

Both Gail Symons and Rep Cody Wylie published op-eds over the weekend.  Both of them expose the obvious hypocrisy in their arguments.  While not surprising, it shows the shallowness of the Wyoming Left's argument.

The Equality State Policy Center has filed a lawsuit attempting to strike down the recently passed voting residency requirement.  Their lawsuit makes some crazy claims which amount to calling you stupid.  Also, Sunday is Mother's Day, don't forget!

The Wyoming GOP has a new chairman.  Bryan Miller won with a vote of 42-32.  As usual, a couple of controversies have developed over the election.  But do they carry any merit?  Also, a couple of claims have emerged about WyoRINO's 2025 results.  The folks who raved about them before now claim they're in error.  But are they?

WyoRINO has released their 2025 legislative scorecard.  It clearly shows who's a Redcoat and who's a conservative.  The other revealing piece of information is who dropped in the ratings.  It's a specific group and the change is dramatic.

Bob Ferguson is the current treasurer of the Wyoming Republican Party.  He's running to be the vice-chairman in Saturday's election.  We had a great discussion.  Also, a federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit brought by Rock Springs parents Ashley and Sean Willey.  They had sued the school district for attempting to socially transition their daughter.  2 years ago, I interviewed them.

The 851st episode of Cowboy State Politics!  A lawsuit has been filed to overturn Wyoming's ban on crossover voting.  The suit though is an outgrowth of a much more endemic problem in our court system--that you have radical redcoats appointing activist judges that want to act like the legislature.

There's an attempt to create a Wyoming aristocracy--that we should only listen to those who are from here.  That's a silly argument and a piece in the Cow Pie explains it succinctly.  Also, the Sheridan City Council predictably went ahead with their giveaway.

Protests were held across the state this weekend.  I went down and talked with a few of them.  Apparently I don't understand why they're protesting because I'm a just a white male.  I am not even kidding.  After talking with them, it's clear they don't know why they're protesting either.

Every county and city in Wyoming gives away your tax dollars to ridiculous causes--cat shelters, business development organizations and a whole host of others.  The Wyoming Constitution is clear: government can't do that unless it's to support the poor.  But local governments, state-wide, ignore that.  A recent Sheridan City Council Meeting is a perfect example.

Ever wondered why your emails hardly ever get a response?  It could be they're sent directly to spam.  Some legislators don't see a problem with that.  During a recent Management Council meeting, senators and representatives discussed how their email system handles bulk emails.  They're response tells you a lot about their view of your participation.

Rep Tom Kelly joins the program to talk about schools, spending and his vote on HB64 the ultra-sound requirement for abortions.  Tom was one of the few legislators to vote against it all the way through.
