On Saturday's Installment of Weekend Update, U.S. Representative Harriet Hageman joins the program.  She's introduced a number of bills--one to stop D.C.'s war on Wyoming Coal and another to hold bureaucrats responsible for trashing your First Amendment Rights.  Saturday on Cowboy State Politics.

Sen Eric Barlow has been no friend to the pro-life movement whenever he's in charge.  He has prevented numerous anti-abortion bills from even being debated on the floor.  Senator Larry Hicks objected to Barlow's appointment as chairman of Senate Health and Labor yesterday for this reason.

There are a lot of bills this session intended to misdirect your attention--beer, guns, fireworks and others.  Most of them don't accomplish very much except to distract you from is really going on.

Just in time for the legislative session, the Pravda on the Platte has fired up its climate hysteria.  They claim that climate change and specifically CO2 is "imperiling all live on Earth."  Preposterous.

Wyoming Citizens paid for junkets to Mexico to study bean production.  It's absolutely true.  But the Redcoats and their allies in the media have the temerity to criticize conservative attempts to rein in the Wyoming budget.  Incoming House Appropriations member Rep Scott Smith joins me to discuss the upcoming 2025 legislative session.

2024 Christmas Special.  There have been a lot of Christian artifacts unearthed this past year and several recently.  Rep Mark Jennings, Charlie Cole and I discuss what they mean and why we should or shouldn't pay attention to them.

We have lots to be thankful for this Christmas; like not having to listen to Kamala Harris for 4 years and Donald Trump coming back to the White House!  A piece in the Jackson Hole News and Guide calls little babies "pre-borns," and claims that we need to butt out of a woman's right to choose.  I disagree!

There are a couple of bills you can always count on Rep Steve Harshman to file.  This year it's his bill to change how vacancies are filled.  It's entirely political and it's purpose is only to help the Redcoats.  Also, the committee makeup of the House is exactly the opposite of the Senate.  But there are still a few assignments I really disagree with!

Affordable housing seems to be the only thing that elected officials can talk about right now.  If you listen to them, government is the only way that anyone can find a house.  Might I suggest the free market?

You only need once piece of paper to keep and bear arms.  SF37 adds another one.  It creates an "enhanced concealed carry permit," that would allow you to carry in a school.  The correct answer is to repeal gun free zones altogether and not add more government.

Rep Bob Nicholas, the current House Appropriations Chair peppered Gordon's staff with questions about the supplemental budget.  But, that doesn't mean he turned over a conservative leaf.  It's just a sign that he can see the writing on the wall.

Committee assignments are out and now we know exactly what Sen Bo Biteman gave up to become Senate President.  7 out of 10 committees are now controlled by liberal Redcoats.  The worst one is a pro-choice senator is now the chairman of the committee that handles pro-life legislation.

Wyoming's bait and switch committee.  The Regulatory Reduction Task Force was a red herring from the very beginning.  Most of the people on it are the ones responsible for a lot of the regulations in the first place.  It's the perfect example of leading you to believe one thing and then doing another.

Governor Gordon has signed on to a lawsuit defending Wyoming's coal industry.  What happened to the whole "carbon negative" stuff?  $54,000,000 was apparently not enough for Sheridan School District #2, they added another $1.51 Million to their budget. 

The Season 4 Finale!  As the legislative session approaches, we need to start re-educating ourselves on who these people are.  They haven't changed just because leadership has.  One year ago I interviewed Ryan McGowan from the Institute for Legislative Analysis.  It's absolutely applicable today.

Governor Gordon has sent legislators a "supplemental budget."  Typically, these are for unforeseen emergencies.  Much of what is in it has nothing to do with an emergency.  Wyopile is claiming that there's no basis for a state to reclaim federal lands within their borders, Rep Hageman disagrees.

Happy Thanksgiving!  Thanksgiving is not about Black Friday, getting stuff or anything like that.  It's about giving thanks for the blessings that we have been given.  What you were told in school about Thanksgiving bears no resemblance to what actually happened.  Here's the real story!

The 2025-2026 legislative leadership is almost set.  Bo Biteman will be the President of the Senate and Chip Neiman will be the Speaker of the House.  But that came at the cost of Tara Nethercott as Majority Floor Leader.  But, that may not have been all that was given up in the Senate.

The House and Senate leadership vote happens today.  As I previously reported Sen Bo Biteman and Tim Salazar made a deal with Senator Slithers, Tara Nethercott.  Turns out I was right.  What exactly is a TIF?  It's basically a way for municipalities to borrow against future tax collection.  So much for lowering taxes eh?

Judge Melisa Owens struck down Wyoming's abortion bans.  She did it by unilaterally declaring that abortion is healthcare and by ignoring Wyoming Law.  Paul Cox from Freedom Gold joins me to talk about what is happening in the economy now that Trump has been re-elected.

The Wyoming GOP held their State Central Committee meeting at the Sublette County Fairgrounds over the weekend.  There was a resolution to support conservative leadership in the Wyoming Senate.  It didn't turn out how you would expect.

The Wyoming GOP is holding their November meeting in Marbleton.  Secretary of State Chuck Gray was one of the keynote speakers at the banquet Friday Night.  Though his speech was about election integrity and the actions his office is taking, he also broke some news about the Weston County election nightmare.

**Correction* Crook County Clerk Melissa Jones made an amazing statement during the canvassing board meeting in Weston County this past Friday.  No Becky Hadlock didn't admit that the whole mess is her fault as she should have, her mistake was something much bigger.

Weston County's election was so messed up, the ballots had to be hand counted!  Through the clerk's incompetence and her refusal to even acknowledge the problem, it took a lot longer to figure out.  Exclusive interview with the Weston County Clerk and the Weston GOP Chairwoman.

Every day is a good day to be an American.  But this one is a little sweeter after the historic election of Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United States.  It was historic for a lot of reasons: mainly because the media got what they deserve.

Sources have told Cowboy State Politics that two conservative senators are making a deal with Redcoat Sen Tara Nethercott to install her as Senate President in exchange for chairmanships. 

Trotsky actually provides some context! And it was about President Trump!  Sheridan RAPS is a PAC that is violating Wyoming campaign finance law.  It's hard not to coordinate with a PAC when you are the one funding it.

Kamala Harris and the Amendment A crowd have a couple of things in common.  They've already told you what they are going to do.  You just have to pay attention.  When the left has never mentioned tax cuts before, it doesn't mean they're in favor of them now.

The Kelly Walsh High School marching band delivered a routine called "The Offering."  In it, they 'sacrifice' a young girl on an altar--and school officials gave it the green light.  Rep Pendergraft joins me for the entire hour on the program.  We discussed the upcoming session, committees and legislation he has planned.  This is a really fun discussion.

Sheridan City Administrator Stu McRae was on Public Pulse this past Friday.  While he was there he told some whoppers about the 1% Capitol Facilities Tax that's on the ballot this year.  It's a $40,000,000 tax and you should vote against it.
