Cowboy State Politics

Laramie County Attorney Leigh Anne Manlove has been embroiled in ethics complaints for several weeks.  Numerous articles have been written about those allegations.  But, as usual, the Wyoming media hasn't given her the opportunity to tell her side of the story.  Monday, she and I had a wide ranging discussion.

Voter fraud is a serious crime and it absolutely does happen.  Documents obtained by Cowboy State Politics clearly indicate that a member of the Wyoming House of Representatives committed voter fraud.

When the media gets tired of being beaten with current events, they return to their favorite old tropes.  In this case, an attack on the Second Amendment.  They never get tired of attacking it, and I never get tired of defending it.

So much to talk about this week.  The Redcoated Frontier Republicans failed in their lawsuit against the GOP, Gail Symons is at it again.  And, Rep Dan Zwonitzer seems to have no end to his problems...

There are a lot of political stories floating around this week.  But, none of them are what they appear to be.  Better Wyoming is attacking conservative legislators; Dan Zwonitzer is claiming he lives in an apartment; and, Tom Lubnau is suing the Wyoming Republican Party.  None of them are being reported for what they are.

Saturday, the Wyoming GOP State Central Committee discussed the allegations against Rep Dan Zwonitzer.  They voted unanimously--even Redcoat Frontier Joe McGinley--to send all of the implicating documents to the WY Secretary of State.  And, it has been crickets from all except the Riverton Ranger. 

This is the keynote address from the Wyoming GOP State Central Committee Banquet.  Our message was simple: if you don't believe in our principles, start your own party and stop screwing up ours!!

There are serious questions surrounding the Co-Chairman of the Corporations Committee and i'll tell you about them.  This is human trafficking awareness month.  I have two great interviews on the topic: HD 31 Rep John Bear who ran a human trafficking bill last session; and, Terri Markham from Uprising--a group that focuses on human trafficking. 

It's bad enough when columnists don't bother to check their facts before publishing in the paper, but when they distort facts it's an entirely different story.  An article in the Wyoming Tribune Eagle is guilty on both counts.  And it turns out that the author has a blog....

'Sheep Lives Matter,' or so said a sign in Powell.  And, people are offended.  Also, despite everything Liz Cheney says, she is not a conservative nor has she ever been.  In this episode I explain exactly what Liz Cheney's political ideology is. 

We have all had enough of Liz Cheney and for good reason.  Since before Jan 6, Cheney has been ignoring Wyoming.  And now that she is vice-chair of the witch-hunt, every other issue that is important to Wyoming Citizens has taken a back seat.  In this episode I explain why  Also, her challenger Harriet Hageman did an interview with Sean Hannity.  Here's part of it.

Liz Cheney couldn't help herself from parading around on January 6th.  She did so while attacking Wyoming Republicans...and so did the Red Star.

On Wednesday, the Johnson County School District held a work-session about critical racist theory.  The board had tasked two of their history teachers to inform them about what it is.  It was a great and informative presentation.

Former Senate candidate David Dodson, decided to dazzle us with his Stanford education in the Red Star.  His grammar problems aside, he doesn't seem to understand our system of government.  Also, yesterday I spoke with Marissa Selvig about switching parties.  There is a piece of it in this episode.

Happy New Year! In this episode, I discuss a few news articles from around the state.  The Red Star must have found a secret stash in their new location.  CapCityNews seems to think Israel is in Wyoming and County 17 pats the CCPL on the back for making some progress with their porn collection.

What's being discussed by the Corporations Committee really doesn't bear too much resemblance to what was presented to Wyoming Citizens.  Why?  Because everyone has their own plan for redistricting.

Redistricting hasn't got a lot of press--that's on purpose.  There is an attempt to redistrict conservatives out of their home districts.  And, it is being done at the expense of rural Wyoming counties.

Fresh off of the Christmas break, I discuss how much the legislature thinks you are paying attention.  The Revenue Committee made some stunning admissions in their last meeting and I show them to you!

Thursday, the Patriot Conservatives of Johnson County hosted Wyoming House District 40 Rep Barry Crago.  He covered lots of topics and fielded numerous questions from the audience.  Among other things, he discussed mandates, guns, taxes and what he is going to focus on in the upcoming budget session.

I think Scrooge gets a bad rap when you compare him to the actions of the Wyoming State Legislature.  He certainly doesn't waste money like they do.  In this episode, I give you the real story of Scrooge and explain why Wyoming politicians could take some lessons from him.

Colorado Governor Jared Polis has admitted that there is no state of emergency in his state.  Governor Mark Gordon should do the same.

Parents are being ignored across the state when it comes to materials their children are subjected to.  Parents in Laramie County are being told by their school board that they don't have any input on what kids are exposed to.  I spoke with Cheyenne Attorney Darin Smith about it.

The Transportation Committee just passed a 15 Cent tax increase on a gallon of gas.  When Wyoming Citizens are already paying more for everything, our elected officials want more of our money.  In this episode, I explain why; and it's not because our road system is going to crumble tomorrow. 

This time the Red Star chose to talk about civility in politics on their front page.  Even when the story is "above-the-fold" they can't get the facts straight.  It's either that or they choose not to.

Once again the Wyoming media has been pandering to the Redcoated Frontier Republicans.  Running to the national media wasn't enough for them. Now, they have written a ridiculous Op-Ed that, of course, our compliant media just had to print.

There are leftists that have infiltrated Wyoming school boards.  One such radical on the Albany County board has some very interesting ties.  Also, a visit with the Park County Republican Men's Club.

Part 2 of the recap of the Wyoming GOP State Central Committee Meeting in Buffalo.  One resolution finally put the Troy Bray incident to bed in EPIC FASHION. And, the Wyoming GOP no longer recognizes Rep Liz Cheney as our Republican representative.  I also point out a staggering discrepancy that the entire mainstream media fell for--including Fox.

The Wyoming GOP Held their State Central Committee meeting in Buffalo over the weekend.  It was a great event and their were some fireworks.  In this episode is a speech from U.S. House Candidate Harriet Hageman and State Vice-Chairman David Holland.  Also I have the perfect solution to all of this incivility the Redcoats keep crowing about...

I was invited to speak at the Converse County GOP Banquet.  I spoke about how we got to where we are at and how we can get out of it.  Here's my speech in its entirety.

Say it isn't so, Democrats who are fiscal conservatives?  Don't worry they're not and neither are the Redcoats.  It's all political cover.

The only thing we heard from the Redcoats and Democrats in the special session was business, business, business.  If it seems a little out of character, you're right.  They are just using Wyoming business to cover for themselves and Sleepy Joe's mandate.

We've heard a lot about the supremacy clause this past week.  I tell you what it is and what our legislators have wrong about it.

Many of our state legislators seem to have joined a different, older party.  The lobbyists. 

Representative Steve Harshman said some absolutely inexcusable things about Rep Chuck Gray.  Speaker of the House Eric Barlow claims he is being even-handed about the matter.  He's not--not anywhere close to fair.

There are 54 Republicans in the Wyoming House of Representatives.  But, only 18 or so even act like it.  The rest of them are Redcoats and this session has proven it.

All but one of the Wyoming legislators that voted against the special session have one thing in common: they are in bed with lobbyists.  And it shouldn't come as any surprise what type of lobbyists they have been taking money from!

Inexplicably, columnist Rod Miller is defending pornography and pedophilia materials in Wyoming Libraries.  Also, I visit with former Wyoming Representative Scott Clem about the actions of the Campbell County Commissioners, the Gillette library and the upcoming special session.

Doc Brown is that you?  The paper in Gillette published an article about a Campbell County Commission vote that hadn't happened yet.  Members of the public were justifiably incensed.  Also, Rep John Bear explains what (hopefully) is going to happen with the special session that has been called.
