Once again we have to put up with yet another medicaid expansion bill. There are a ton of reasons this is a horrendous idea. Also, I briefly introduce you to the fight of a young Wyoming boy from Riverton with cancer and what doctors in Utah are trying to do to him and his family.

Medicaid expansion could be awful for hospitals, too. Medicare & Medicaid only pay like 50% of actual charges & providers have to adjust the balance off because of contractual adjustment. Most hospitals may be able to assist patients & give them financial assistance, even if they have insurance. (Except for Banner hospitals. You don’t get any help if you have insurance.) I have a friend who went on the marketplace & pays zero for actual insurance. Medicaid expansion isn’t necessary.
