The Wyoming Education Association berated lawmakers on Monday in the Joint Education Committee. Sen Chris Rothfuss called any assertion that Wyoming students are under-performing "misinformation." The truth is that Wyoming school performance is not commensurate with school funding.

If they’d go back to teaching math in the more traditional methods, perhaps they could finally excel instead of being confused. They could also get help at home with their math. Right now, the only way to help them is to YouTube it.

It’s no wonder kids aren’t doing well at math! They waste most of elementary school teaching 20 different ways to solve problems, but all those years are worthless once they start doing algebra & those fancy ways are worthless. Not only that, but my kids didn’t want me to even show them “my way” to do math because their teachers would be mad at them. It was more important to them what their teachers thought than what I thought. It was only a couple more years before we pulled them out of school
